Fastway Couriers Wanganui still winning after 17 years

After more than 17 years in the business, Fastway Couriers Wanganui franchise employee Karen Caird has won top service honours at the annual Fastway Couriers Franchisee Awards held in Christchurch recently. Competing against 18 other regions and numerous employees throughout New Zealand, the employee of the courier franchise in Wanganui took home the coveted “Customer Service Person of the Year” award.

Having been in the Fastway Couriers business since 1993,
Karen puts her winning formula down to a complete focus on customer service, tackling every issue she is faced head on, and never letting anything get her down. Karen has been in the courier franchise business with Fastway Couriers since 1993 and was humbled by the award, and commented that she “simply treats people the way I would like to be treated”.

Owners of Fastway Couriers Wanganui Regional Franchise Graham and Denise Clarke said, “We are so proud of Karen, and the continuing winning nature of our team. Karen is a loyal, dedicated, and extremely valued employee, who somehow manages to handle every situation thrown at her with ease. The award couldn’t have gone to a more deserving person”.

The judges were impressed with Karen’s diversity and undertaking of all areas of the front of house component of the business. Her long service, constant smile, and dedication to her role also ensured she came out at the top of the list. Karen is now a key component of Fastway Couriers Wanganui, and her family have a very active role in the Wanganui business community.

This award adds to the sort after “Master Regional Franchise of the Year” award won by the Fastway Wanganui Franchise at the 2008/2009 Westpac New Zealand Franchise Association Awards. These awards recognise excellence by celebrating individuals who have demonstrated best practice in franchising.
