Jetts Fitness gym franchise to open its first club in Royal Oak
New Zealanders will soon be able to join their Australian neighbours as members of the 24/7, express fitness club, Jetts Fitness , with the announcement that the gym franchise will soon be opening its first New Zealand club in Royal Oak, Auckland.
Jetts Fitness expects to open 25 clubs in the next 18 months, through a combination of direct entry and franchising with both NZ and Australian partners.
“Our first step into international markets has been carefully planned to ensure the high quality execution is delivered with the same methods that has defined our Australian success," says Managing Director of Jetts Fitness, Brendon Levenson.
The Jetts Fitness gym franchise has had great success since its inception, opening 61 clubs across Australia and attracting over 50,000 members. It is anticipated New Zealand consumers will take to the Jetts Fitness brand in much the same way, embracing the no frills, low cost offer.
General Manager of Operations at Jetts Fitness, Claire Attard, has lead the New Zealand entry program over 12 months, and is confident the gym franchise model will be well accepted in the new market.
“Gym members in New Zealand have expressed their desire for a low cost, no contract offer in much the same way Australians have, and given the fragmentation of the NZ market we believe the strength of our model will be welcomed with open arms, delivering a sustainable fitness product that is in line with the expectations and needs of today’s customers,” says Attard.
Aside from the inaugural gym franchise in Royal Oak, new clubs will also be opening in Eden Terrace, New Lynn and Glenfield, and negotiations for further sites are underway in Christchurch and Wellington.
Jetts Fitness gym franchises in New Zealand will offer the same defining benefits as the Australian clubs, including no contracts as standard, 24/7 access to state of the art facilities, and automatic reciprocal rights to every club. All New Zealand members will also receive automatic reciprocal rights to use all Jetts Fitness gym franchises in Australia.
