Double honours for local Auckland Fastway team
At the recent annual Fastway Couriers Franchisee Awards in Christchurch the Fastway Couriers team were on top of their game winning two awards in one day. The Auckland courier franchise team were up against strong competition from 18 other regions to take out the top honours and were nominated for both Courier Franchisee of the Year 2010 and Regional Franchisee of the year.
Local courier franchise owner Colin Lowe (Glenfield) came out on top of almost 270 other franchisees from around the country to win the Courier Franchisee of the Year award for 2010. Colin’s philosophy is simply “This is what my customers have paid for”, and his win was attributed to an inbuilt dedication to team work and customer service, and his approachable and positive attitude. Scott Jenyns, Fastway Couriers Auckland General Manager explained, “Colin is 100% dedicated to his business, and it’s a great privilege for him to be recognised for the many hours of hard work he puts in. He has a unique ability to continually motivate the staff within our team and is committed to each and every one of his customers and team members”. Also, the entire Auckland Regional courier franchise was also one of two finalists in the overall Fastway Couriers Regional Franchisee of the Year award. Competing against 18 other regions around New Zealand from Northland to Southland, the Fastway Auckland courier franchise was nominated for their ongoing dedication to operational effectiveness and superior service standards for their 7500 customers throughout the Auckland region. They received the runner-up award on the night, closely behind their fellow North Island franchise, Northland. These franchise awards follow a number of National Franchise Awards for Fastway Couriers over the past 12 months including the prestigious supreme award for Franchisee of the Year 2009 by Bill Sampson (Tauranga) at the Westpac New Zealand franchise awards. These awards recognise excellence by honouring individuals who have demonstrated best practice in franchising.
