It all began in 1945 with the establishment of a engineering shop in central Auckland. Business grew and resulted in a move to Pukekohe in 1953, the year the manufacturing of hydraulic fittings commenced. The Hydraulink company name was adopted in 1973. The company changed locations and owners several times until it was purchased by the current owners Lee Short and Noel Davies in 1989.
Rapid growth during the 1990's and continuing from 2000 resulted in the company today employing over 80 people in New Zealand and Australia. In New Zealand alone there are now over 300 mobile service technicians and 250 Hydraulink outlets. Exports have increased throughout the Pacific Island nations and to Singapore and Hawaii during this period.
Continuing major investments in manufacturing, administration, marketing and logistics have enabled the company to compete internationally and to provide all customers with the industry best practice standards. This coupled with support products from worldwide leaders in their field ensures Hydraulink will continue to grow and evolve in the years to come.
