Wet-seal encompasses all facets of waterproofing and sealing internal and external wet areas - residential, commercial and industrial applications.

All of our systems: exceed Building Standard requirements; are covered by an iron-clad guarantee; and are fully compliant with the current waterproofing code.

Wet-seal franchisees are also able to sell and install underfloor heating systems.


Wet-seal was first born in Coffs Harbourin 1984 when one of the now current Directors recognised a niche in the market, formed a partnership and created the waterproofing business.

After several successful years of working in the field the Director and his partners formed the Franchisor which is now operating on both island of New Zealand and in all states of Australia.

The company consists of a Corporate Office in Coffs Harbour, Marketing Office on the Gold Coast, and an Audit Office and a Technical Office which are both based in Melbourne. Wet-seal is continuing to expand on a rapid basis in both New Zealand and Australia and hasn't looked back since becoming a waterproofing Franchise company in 2001.

In fact, we are also looking to further expand into the overseas market with ventures in China on the horizon.

Training Provided: Prior to commencing work in the field, our Franchisees undergo extensive rigorous training. See below for details.

Marketing Support: Adverts in industry publications, newspaper builder features, exhibitions & shows. National Sales Manager carries out meetings with larger end building companies across Aust & NZ. Franchisees shown how to carry out local area marketing - cold calling, mail outs, attending local home shows, print advert.

Agreement Term: 5 years + 5 year option

Number Of Units: 60 (10 in New Zealand & 50 in Australia)

Investment Required: $50,000 + GST

Guaranteed Income: $1000 per week for the first 12 weeks.

Business Established: 1984

Franchising Commenced: 2001

Qualifications Required: Building industry experience is preferred but not essential. Ability to obtain a trade licence where necessary.

Training:

Prior to commencing work in the field, our franchisees undergo extensive rigorous training. This training includes:

  • Three weeks + three days product, application and business training.
  • One week on the job training with the appropriate State Trainer; and
  • One week local area marketing and on the job training in their exclusive territory with our National Training Manager.
  • They are also contacted via phone once a week by the National Training Manager between week 7-12 of their induction period.
  • Week 11 of their induction period the National Franchise Manager goes to visit them to ensure all operations are running correctly.
  • Week 13 an audit is carried out on their office and workmanship by our Audit Supervisor.
  • Week 14 the Franchisee is reviewed; and then
  • Week 38 another audit is carried out again.
  • Audits are conducted on a regular basis, and additional training provided if required.
